Agent/Broker Working in Commercial Real Estate Since 1989

Jim Brown received his real estate license in 1989 and became a broker in 1990. After four years with a Memphis based brokerage company, Jim opened his own compnay in December of 1993. Since 1989 he has focused exclusively on commercial and industrial sales and leasing. In November 2002 he was awarded the CCIM designation by the CCIM Institute, a division of the National Association of Realtors. (See "Useful Links"). Prior to becoming a full time ral estate professional, Jim was Director of Business Development for Carothers Construction Company form 1988 until 1990. From 1982 until 1988 Jim was Executive Director of the DeSoto County (MS) Economic Development Council. Upon graduation from Mississippi State University in May 1981, Jim went to work for the North MS Industrial Development Association until 1982. These experiences in the public and private sectors have given Jim insight on the critical importance of a community's attitudes toward creating and maintaining a pro-business environment and how his clients may benefit fully from location in a community.
